Chief Executive

Sean is the Chief Executive and a founding member of ioda. Although Chief Executive Sean still very much ‘walks the floor’ to ensure he and the company stays close to its customers. 

As a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management with 30 years’ experience, Sean specialises in leadership and management development. Qualified to Master’s Degree level with a range of supporting qualifications, Sean brings academic rigour to his considerable practical experience ensuring a blended approach to learning that strengthens the links between corporate values, strategic outcomes, leadership practice and inclusive behaviours. 

He has a pragmatic approach that drives realistic and achievable outcomes reflecting his significant experience in this discipline. He specialises in developing inclusive leaders that can manage difficult workplace cultures and challenging inappropriate individual or cultural norms.  

Sean also regularly works across the international sector specialising in post conflict countries and has received accolades from clients, international officials and counterparts at all levels for his ability to produce desired results in a collaborative and participatory manner.  Working with the field of leadership and human rights Sean has undertaken senior roles in many DfID UK and UN sponsored development programmes across the world including Rwanda, India, Turkey, Sudan and the Ukraine.
