Operations/Departmental Manager Apprenticeship – Stretch and Challenge Level 7

The ioda ‘Stretch and Challenge’ apprenticeship is designed to deliver a professional pathway and the ongoing development of knowledge, skills and behaviours required by managers who worked at Operations/Departmental Manager level but already have high academic level qualifications. The apprenticeship has a strong focus on the development of the individual’s personal capabilities and competencies, enhancing their ability to work at a strategic level. Successful apprentices will also be awarded the CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice.

Who is it for?

Middle Managers within an organisation, example roles include Head of Service, Operations, Regional or Divisional Manager, Store Manager or Head of Department and a variety of specialist managers who have high academic level qualifications

Responsibilities

Inputting into strategic planning, creating and delivering operational plans, managing projects, leading and managing teams, managing change, financial and resource management, talent management and supporting people through coaching & mentoring.
