Leadership & Management Trainer
Richard is a retired Police Inspector who served with North Yorkshire Police (NYP) for 30 years with exemplary service. Since 2000 he has also held the role of NYP Hostage Negotiator and crisis intervention specialist and has continued this responsibility since retirement. This role requires the practical implementation of the skills he now trains in the classroom.
Richard specialises in the areas of verbal and non-verbal communication conflict resolution, lone working and personal safety; and dealing with difficult people. He is also part of the ioda leadership and management apprenticeship delivery team responsible for a range of management topics including personal effectiveness and leading high performing teams.
