The programme is a mixture of flexible and distance learning material supported by tutor guided workshops.  The programme begins with a two-day induction followed by a range of tutor-guided workshops. 

Students are required to undertake active work based research projects and prepare a number of written assignments relevant to each module subject.  All research activity is organisationally specific to the students’ workplace.

They must also produce evidence of transference into the workplace.  This approach not only improves their leadership skills and vision but also produces an in-depth analysis of their area of responsibility, themselves and their organisation bringing added value and additional benefits.

The programme is flexible in its timescales and is run between 9 and 18 months.
