Background:
In the current economic climate, it is imperative that all managers in your organisation, who are responsible for budgets, have the understanding of what is meant by managing a budget and the financial training to underpin this activity. Many will have been promoted through the organisation to positions where budget management is part of their role without gaining an insight into how to carry this out effectively. Those who have been budget holders for some time may still have issues with managing the financial aspects of their job. There is often a perceived gap between the level of funding required to provide the services customers demand and the values that are allocated from a higher level, set by people who may not have the operational understanding of how much each 'pot' requires and how to most effectively allocate the available funds. We bring these functions together, often for the first time, to facilitate discussions and debates that should increase the efficiency of your organisation.
