Aim:

To enable potential and first line supervisors to develop their management skills and abilities.  To provide an introduction to a wide range of practical team leader management theories and concepts.

Who should attend:  All supervisors and potential supervisors with responsibility for others.

A participatory programme for all team leaders and supervisors including those identified as future managers.  It is a mixture of blended learning utilising flexible and distance learning supported by tutor guided workshops.  The programme is practical, relevant and developmental in its approach.

The programme begins with a two-day induction where each candidate will receive a comprehensive learning package of Management Literature and two Flexible Learning books. 

The materials enable the participants to explore their role through case studies, organisational examples, management theories and practices and personal development plans taking into account the manager’s level of experience. During the programme, which is further supported by an additional
3 one-day tutor-guided workshops, a wide range of practical Management will be covered. 

The programme is flexible in its timescales from 16 weeks to 6 months.
