Introduction to Supervision and Team Leadership
Background:

Often supervisors and team leaders are promoted due to their excellent technical or specialist skills but do not have any experience in managing people or teams. They may find themselves supervising teams that they were once part of and this can be a very difficult situation to handle. How do they earn the respect of their once-peers? Do they have the skills to deal with conflict situations? They may know how not to manage, but in this economic climate, do you really want your teams run in this way?

Existing supervisors are often overlooked when training is discussed as they may run their teams effectively and managers do not see the need for them to attend courses. Alternatively, a refresher course on new management techniques may be required.

Whatever the situation, this series of highly interactive workshops has been designed and developed to provide the key skills your Supervisors and Team Leaders will need.

Our highly experienced trainers come from varied backgrounds and provide guidance and support on how to effectively manage people through practical application of proven theories. The course provides a forum for your Supervisors and Team Leaders to bring real-life experiences into a training environment.
