Aim:

Gender equality - general awareness raising that meets the spirit of legislation, challenges stereotypes and includes acceptable behaviour and language.

The course is not about blame or heated discussion around sexism but about identifying issues of gender inequality. Links will be made to legislation and its application within your organisation.

The course will use different techniques, quizzes, historical perspectives, case studies and small group work to facilitate discussions. Stereotypes will be identified; language will be explored to identify personal and institutional discrimination.

See below for a few of the many benefits and a brief course overview:
  • Describe gender discrimination and its effects
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of the law and internal policies
  • Identify the impact and power of language and behaviour
  • Demonstrate knowledge of how to prevent discrimination and encourage respect for all people
  • Identify personal responsibilities and development needs

Programme Duration:

This half day or one day programme is prepared and presented in-house exclusively for your organisation at a time and location that suits you. This programme requires a minimum of 8 delegates
