One of the fundamental skills required by staff at all levels in modern contemporary organisations is the ability to communicate effectively. Clear, concise and, where appropriate communicating with warmth can produce significant benefits in relationships with colleagues and service users.
Giving staff the skills to communicate outwardly and to listen effectively enables them to understand others needs, express their own and reduces confusion or conflict. Good communication at all levels improves performance, moral and quality of service.
