Developing Team Performance- Managing Teams
Background:

The role of any manager is often described as 'getting the job done through the efforts of others'.  The management of teams however, requires skill, knowledge and moral courage.  Even the most dynamic and capable individuals can, if not managed effectively, fall into a disparate group that fail to work together, even becoming dysfunctional.

From the initial stage of creating a team through to a high performing group, managers can have significant influence on performance and outcomes,  while most organisations are under increasing pressure to perform, high performing teams bring significant benefits.
