Attracting, recruiting and retaining the best staff are vital to the overall success of any organisation.  This starts with ensuring that staff are attracted from the widest pool possible, bringing the most talented and skilled applicants to the interview.
 
At this interview stage, the selection process must be seen to be fair, transparent and documented.  The skills to avoid personal or diversity bias are critical in all members of the panel.  Also the ability to design and ask the most appropriate questions to elicit the required information is vital.  For too long, organisations have recruited in the same manner, resulting in 'if you do what you have always done, you will get what you've always had'.  Effective and innovative processes need to be continuously developed to ensure the recruitment and selection process mirrors the changing demographic diversity of society.

This is an in-depth, challenging and interactive course.  Participants are encouraged to undertake mock interviews as both candidates and assessors, enabling them to practice the newly acquired skills and knowledge in a safe environment.

  • To examine and further develop the skills and abilities used to carry out effective Recruitment and Selection interviews
  • To provide individuals with guidance in the skills and techniques essential to conducting successful selection
