A participatory programme for all middle
managers and experienced supervisors
who are required to achieve increased
performance through total quality management.
The programme is a mixture of flexible
and distance learning material, supported
by tutor guided workshops.
The programme begins with an induction
and module one (2 days). Each
candidate will receive a comprehensive
learning package of management literature
and six flexible earning books (each
book covers one module). This
is then followed by further tutor-guided
workshops to support each unit.
The programme is made up of a minimum
of six modules.
The programme is flexible with timescales
and can take between 9 months and 1
year. The materials enable the
participants to explore their role through
case studies, organisational examples,
management theories and practices and
personal development plans taking into
account the manager’s level of
experience.
They are expected to not only demonstrate
vocational competency but also analysis,
application and evaluation of concepts
and activity supported by sound academic
rigour. The wide range of management
concepts includes contemporary issues
such as Best Value, Finance, Project
Management and Customer Focus, all through
Continuous Improvement.
