Support in Safe Hands - First Contact, Mediator & Advisors Course
Background:

To thrive and survive in today's complex world of work, people's behaviour and actions can potentially bring to the working environment issues of bullying, harassment or discriminatory practice.  The development of first contact advisors can bring significant value to the organisation, thus ensuring such issues are dealt with speedily.

Those organisations that have established first contact advisors have benefitted hugely from this development.
Providing this type of response ensures limited use of the grievance process, the environment in which people work is one of value, dignity and respect and therefore enables productivity to remain high.

This highly interactive training course will provide an opportunity for delegates to share best practice in relation to the development of first contact advisors within their organisation; what the role of first contact advisor is all about and more importantly, what it isn't about.

The recruitment and selection process of advisors will be addressed and how to avoid some of the pitfalls associated with this process.  The programme will include a mix of trainer input, group discussion, syndicate exercises, problem solving case exercises and role play.
