Background:
 
Organisations are often a reflection of society driven by the staff they employ.  Informal, social and cultural norms are very rarely left at the door of the workplace but often are carried in and knowingly or unwittingly used in a decision making process.  While the vast majority of organisations have strong statement and are committed to the eradication of any sex-bias or obstacles to career progression, some barriers can exist.
 
Whether it is referred to as the 'glass ceiling' in relation to promotion or the existence of micro-inequalities behaviour from colleagues, this often subtle, yet inappropriate process, can cause de-motivation, stress and disillusionment in women employees.  Recognising the existence of these potential inhibitors and providing support & training are the first steps to their eradication.
 
Overview:
 

This course has been developed for women in the workplace to provide the knowledge, understanding, skills and abilities to deal with the challenges of the modern organisation.  It focuses on gender-based management issues in the working environment.

A participatory course, using both theory and practice exercises we provide the environment for delegates to explore the wider implications of gender-based issues affecting women in the modern working arena.

  • To help women examine and develop effective strategies to deal with complex and challenging issues which may be counter-productive to achieving success along with professional and personal growth

This 2 day programme is prepared and presented in-house exclusively for your organisation at a time and location that suits you. This programme requires a minimum of 8 delegates.
