Elected Members Workshops
Background:

Elected Members are tasked with the vital role of safeguarding community interests through consultation with Chief Officers.

Their audit, inspection and review role, particularly around the Equality Agenda is vital in ensuring transparency and accountability.

The need to understand the underpinning principals of Equality, the legal requirements placed upon the organisation, such as Equality Impact Assessment, and their responsibility as role models are vital to the successful delivery and access to services.

In order to establish the required level of understanding, self-awareness and corporate support, guidance, challenge and clarity are provided through these sessions.
