Background:
In recent years there has been a number of pieces of legislation that have sought to eliminate discrimination against disabled people. The Disability Discrimination Act - DDA (2005) and the Disability Equality Duty (2006) sought to give new rights in relation to employment, education, transport and access to goods, facilities and service.
The changing agenda around disability means that organisations need to ensure that they keep abreast of how the legislation is being interpreted by case law.
