Challenging Inappropriate Behaviour in the Workplace
Background:

Often staff and managers deal with problems and complaints by taking formal action.  This is unnecessary and costly when the issues could, in most cases, be dealt with early if 'nipped in the bud'.

Having the skills and, just as importantly, the confidence to do this is critical in developing an effective and cohesive workforce.

Overview:

A highly participatory course supported by formal inputs.  It includes a variety of training methods including, group discussions, practical case studies and video inputs, which are used to explore specific issues in a structured manner.

The course is process based and explores actual situations through a problem centred approach that allows delegates to fully understand the implications of their actions.  We also include role play with members of minority groups to highlight a variety of challenges.

Aims:
  • To provide delegates with an increased awareness of Diversity within a framework of Equality and Diversity, as outlined by the organisation and the Dignity at Work Policy
  • To understand the need to behave in an appropriate manner and recognise and challenge any inappropriate behaviour or comment as soon as possible

Programme Duration:

This 1 day programme is prepared and presented in-house exclusively for your organisation at a time and location that suits you. This programme requires a minimum of 8 delegates.

Programme Delegates:
